welcome to my colorful online journal filled with images of all sorts. . . .

my name is jessica. i am a wife, mom, Christian, daughter, & friend. i am married to my best friend. i am very happy, blessed, and oh so thankful! i used to teach third grade, but now i homeschool my two boys. God has led our family to adopt from Uganda. . .so that is what is currently BIG in our lives. . .!! God is amazing, and our story is nothing but HIM! i love (in no particular order. . . ) kissing on my boys, going on dates with my hubby, spending time with my family & friends, my bible, taking pictures, missions, decorating, bargain shopping, pinterest, mallo cups, old windows, white cheese dip, romantic comedies, ice cream, cooking, peonies, crafting, baking, thrift stores, yard sales, going out to eat. . .i could go on and on!

{ our front porch }

careally has needed some decor help!

i bought a white wicker couch, coffee table and two chairs at a yard sale last year for 45 dollars! it has sat on the front porch ever since the concrete was poured, but with our off white windows and trim, the white stuck out like a sore thumb!

so. . .i bought some fun green spray paint and got to work!

i also painted two white nightstands that my buddy gave me, cherry red. i added some knobs that i had left over from another project, and voila! i now love the left side of our porch!

next. . . .work on the right side of it!

i love this wreath. we've had it since we got married. it was once the "old house" colors, but since we moved, i've began to add more "color" to it!!!
my little man waiting to escape the torture of mommy's picture taking!

my cutsy anthropology like knobs on my free nightstands. . . just the cost of 2 cans of cherry red spray paint!!!!

maggie's view!

see my cute polka-dotted bucket? i bought that at edie's yard sale, as well as the one above sitting on the "foot rest".

both of them were one dollar! all i did was add a little turquoise paint to both! i love my polka-dotted one! here was the before pic of it!

my other chair wasn't quiet finished when i HAD to take a picture, since i hadn't blogged in days! it's out here now!

i love it. . . .it makes me smile when i pull up the driveway or look out the living room windows or sit out here and blog!!!

happy weekend!

I love your decorating style. Maybe, just maybe you should help those of us who are handicapped in this department. With all your creativity, you could get paid to do it! I love the photo updates of your decorations and hope to work toward something similar.

I absolutely love it! I have never been a fan of wicker furniture, until now! $45 for a set! what a deal. Lucky you. The whole porch looks amazing. If only it wasn't already too hot here in Alabama!

Beautiful! I am redoing my wicker chairs on my front porch soon. They were white when they were handed down to us. We painted them chocolate brown, but after a few winters they are needing redone. So I am going bold this time! We have lime green in our backyard so I am going with an accent to that, and will tie the two together. Can't wait! And this just gave me some motivation. Great job!

I am so inspired!! I refinished some cheapo furniture that I bought at a thrift store a few months ago (http://msgotitalltogether.blogspot.com/2010/06/porch-furniture-on-cheap.html), and NEVER made the or decorated out there. I am going to do it TODAY! Can't wait!
