welcome to my colorful online journal filled with images of all sorts. . . .

my name is jessica. i am a wife, mom, Christian, daughter, & friend. i am married to my best friend. i am very happy, blessed, and oh so thankful! i used to teach third grade, but now i homeschool my two boys. God has led our family to adopt from Uganda. . .so that is what is currently BIG in our lives. . .!! God is amazing, and our story is nothing but HIM! i love (in no particular order. . . ) kissing on my boys, going on dates with my hubby, spending time with my family & friends, my bible, taking pictures, missions, decorating, bargain shopping, pinterest, mallo cups, old windows, white cheese dip, romantic comedies, ice cream, cooking, peonies, crafting, baking, thrift stores, yard sales, going out to eat. . .i could go on and on!

{ shamrocks for cheap }

have you checked out the after valentine day decor sales?

i didn't do a step by step tutorial. . .sorry. . .
but. . . .
1. i bought 3 packs of pink heart cookie cutters for 50 cents each
2. spray painted them a fun green that was in the garage
3. hot glued them together like a shamrock
4. attached some fun ribbon and burlap
5. and voila. . . .( i use that word often, don't i?) . . . i had two decorations to go on the boys' doors for only 1.50 plus tax!

i actually had to remove the welcome spring sign on saw's door and the basket full of eggs on sam's door! i have already decorated for easter. . . but i decided this morning to do a few things for st. patrick's day!

did you know that:

the humble shamrock plant, with its three leaves, was reverred. St Patrick, when he set out to convert the Celtic inhabitants of Ireland, would have been fully aware of their predilection for the number three and, according to legend, he used the plant to illustrate the Christian concept of the Trinity ie to show how one God divided into three: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

i'm very thankful today.
thankful for the sunshine! i've really missed it and so has by kiddos!

I have been looking all over for a great idea for St. Patricks Day and yours is the first I actually want to make, even the stores premade crafts didn't measure up. Good job. Now I just hope I can find some Valentine's heart cookie cutters on the cheap still. Thanks!
