welcome to my colorful online journal filled with images of all sorts. . . .

my name is jessica. i am a wife, mom, Christian, daughter, & friend. i am married to my best friend. i am very happy, blessed, and oh so thankful! i used to teach third grade, but now i homeschool my two boys. God has led our family to adopt from Uganda. . .so that is what is currently BIG in our lives. . .!! God is amazing, and our story is nothing but HIM! i love (in no particular order. . . ) kissing on my boys, going on dates with my hubby, spending time with my family & friends, my bible, taking pictures, missions, decorating, bargain shopping, pinterest, mallo cups, old windows, white cheese dip, romantic comedies, ice cream, cooking, peonies, crafting, baking, thrift stores, yard sales, going out to eat. . .i could go on and on!

{ valentine's tour }

*****note. . .
this post is all wacky, because of photobucket. . .the pics are here, but not in the right order! if you are checking out past posts, i'll get this one figured out one day. . .i hope!

since i didn't even post my christmas decor, i thought i would my valentine's day. . .

so. . . .

WELCOME!

do you think i should have cleaned my door before inviting you over?

goodness!

before you enter our kitchen from the mudroom, this is the door you must enter.

this wreath means alot to me. when my mamaw died, my church sent me a grapevine wreath with these flowers on it. i pulled the flowers off and hot glued them to a round wreath form, and made this wreath. i love it, and it reminds me of mamaw!

when you enter the kitchen, you'll see some heart day items just laying around!

i have TONS of handtowels and washcloths that i've bought every year since me and hubby have been married. . . speaking of. . i didn't take pics of the boys' bathroom. . oh well. there are two FUN handtowels in there for them to enjoy!
above the stove.

as you leave the kitchen, you enter the living room. this is the mantle.

two of the red candles are after christmas STEALS! the two red tinsel trees are after christmas last year steals from big lots! the heart ornaments are from hobby lobby, again last year! i made the wooden hearts and added some silver-painted wings!

mercury glass candleholders after christmas last year from cracker barrell.

i saw these L O V E canvases last year on etsy, so i had to make me some!

my ceiling fan light was on, so i had to take one so you can see the detail. it's so pretty!

this is the inside of my front door.

as you move around my living room, you will see a turquoise-distressed painted dresser. i LOVE it. supposedly, turquoise is the IN color for this year according to Southern Hospitality's blog. that made me smile inside. . knowing i had something that was "in style". everyone who knows me knows i sure don't dress "in style".

on top of that dresser is my valentine tree. i'm sure you may remember it from last year.

it looks just about the same this year! i got everything on it and remembered my pink lights are in one of my valentine day totes in my bedroom.....who forgets the lights??

see my little whimsical valentine angel?

mom bought her for me last year at a thrift store!

you can see another wreath i made last year above. i bought a heart wreath form for a quarter at a thrift store and just went through my stash of fabrics. cut them into long pieces. tied them around the wreath and VOILA! this is the view from the back. i love it either way!

this is a view from the "raggedy" side of the wreath.

this is the door to my bedroom.

and these are two totes sitting inside my bedroom. . .

wishing your days are filled with LOVE.

mine are filled with frigid temperatures here in east tennessee!

Wow, I love your space!!!

I thought I was ahead of the curve by making a banner and hanging it buy you're clearly way more organized and prepped than me!

Absolutely adorable! I don't decorate for Valentine's day. Now I'm wishing I did.

I have the same door. Amazing how adding the vinyl numbers makes it look amazing.

I love your love for Valentine's Day. Your house looks festive & beautiful. V-day happens to be one of my least favorite holidays so I let it go pretty much unnoticed except for the obligitory cards & candy on the 14th. Enjoy yours!

So inspired by the Raggedy Heart Wreath! I love quilts and this idea of tying strips reminds me of the colors in a quilt! Great idea!
